President Seçer was the guest of İsmail Küçükkaya on Public TV

News Center-Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer was the guest of the live broadcast of the "Yeni Bir Sabah" program prepared and presented by Journalist İsmail Küçükkaya on Halk TV. Seçer, who both made evaluations on the agenda and explained the services of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality on Halk TV screens, underlined that corruption and waste are the leading issues that put Turkey in trouble, and said, “The money I spend is the people's money. We do not distribute ulufe to anyone, we do not give money to anyone from our purse," he said. Speaking about the metro, Seçer said, "I want justice more than support, but we will do the metro no matter what." Underlining that they ensured the fiscal discipline in the municipality and gave the institution a strong financial structure, Seçer said, “An institution will of course have debt, but it must be rational and in a logical sequence. We have done this,” he said. Regarding the fact that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli will come to Mersin for the rally on December 18, Seçer said, “We would be honored. The chairman of an important political party in Turkey is coming. So Mersin is a place of attraction. Mersin is a hearty city of democracy, a city of Atatürk. We embrace all those who vote and those who do not.” Responding to the statements made by the Government wing that municipalities from CHP or Nation Alliance "employ personnel associated with terrorism", Seçer said, "There are certain rules for the personnel to be recruited into the municipality, and these rules have been set by the state. Therefore, criminal record, security and archive investigations are essential in personnel recruitment, and this examination is carried out by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Interior. Mayor Seçer said, “Mayors who received the vote of one of every two people; no one can accuse, slander, or debate in front of the public so easily. There is a state of law, there is law, there is order, there is a law, there is a prosecutor, there is a court. Everything is seen there,” he said. Referring to the discussions about who should be the Presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance, Seçer said, "Of course, as a CHP member, I would like to see Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu as a candidate." Noting that the 6-way table should remain intact, Seçer said, “Turkey has fundamental problems. It is necessary to give confidence to the public and to draw a stable image. The rest will come,” he said.
