Georgia's Ambassador to Ankara Giorgi Janjgava visited Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer in his office. Soyer: “Let the people of Izmir know the Georgian culture”
President Tunç Soyer stated that it is necessary to carry the good relations between the countries to the cities and said, “We are ready. We would like to develop cooperation in smart cities, education, sports, culture, tourism, agriculture, commerce, in every field. Let the people of Izmir get to know the Georgian culture, traditions and history. This would be a good opportunity,” he said.
Janjgava: “Izmir is a very important city”
Georgia's Ambassador to Ankara Giorgi Janjgava said that Turkey is like a hometown for him and said, "Izmir is a very important, historical city. It's very important to us. Nearly one thousand of our citizens live in Izmir. We are ready to cooperate in all matters," he said.
